Possibly leather is the strongest upholstery material known to man, this natural material will withstand the rigours of daily life, and that includes both children and pets.

We would never suggest that the leather we use on our chesterfields sofas, club chairs and footstools, is not more expensive than some fabric materials, the investment value of leather furniture is better in the long run outlasting fabric many times over, and it looks better too! We should stress that when we talk about leather we mean the natural animal product and not man made materials. Genuine leather furniture may contain subtle markings that distinguish it from synthetic materials and it will typically be warmer to the touch than leather imitation materials. Given simple but proper care, genuine leather will outlast most people’s lifetimes and will take on that unique patina not possible in man made materials.
