We make all our own Chesterfields here in the UK.

All our Chesterfield Sofas are hand made to order and a common question we have is ‘How Long Does It Take?’

We would say an average order time is 6 weeks.

We have to hand make the hardwood frames which are dowelled and screwed, webb the arms and backs using pirelli webbing and  fire retardant multigrade foam then upholster the sofa with full hides of leather and then individually hand studd and button the boarders. The different ranges in Chesterfield Sofas we do each have their own distinctive finish with either solid mahogany feet or brass castor.

As you can appreciate the Chesterfield sofa is not a cheap and throw away type of sofa, we expect our customers to use our sofas for the next 20 years or so, so we want them to be made and finished with the highest quality in mind!

Well just look at the weather, this is horrendous and all the hype that goes along with it is laughable. My childrens school was closed so I had a great 2 days playing in the snow and building snowmen, NOT!!!!

I would much rather be inside on my settee with my feet up with a nice cup of hot chocolate and watching day time TV.

I have a 3 seat Kent Chesterfield settee and 2 club chairs which are great, I love them they are so comfy, I went for the hand stuffed cushions because I like the softness however for those of you that don’t like this why not try something like a Cumberland settee. A Cumberland settee has a sprung base which give the same support just a firmer sit.

We have people calling us all the time about the rental of our Chesterfield Sofas.

This is great and easy way to set a scene if you are throwing a party, conference, or just suprizing someone.

We tend to rent the more traditional Chesterfields such as the Derby or Essex. These would come in either Antique Red or Antique Brown. The average amount we would charge for such rentals would be:

• £150 for a 3 seat Chesterfield for a week.
• £75 for a Club Chair for a week.
• £90 for delivery or alternatively you can pick up from us.

The Derby Chesterfield Sofa is what most people think a chesterfield sofa should look like and they would not be wrong. This chesterfield is based upon the classic design and shape of the leather sofa’s that could be seen in many homes around the turn of the previous century.

The Derby is a stiff buttoned base and back and as with all our chesterfield products it is completely hand made, with a solid beech frame, all screwed and dowelled to ensure long lasting quality, in common with all other Distinctive Chesterfield products. With polished mahogany bun feet in three distinctive leather styles and finish, the Derby is available in all our colour range and can be 2, 3 or four seater versions.

Our Wessex Chesterfield sofa is indeed one of the most sumptuous within our comprehensive range of chesterfield sofas and club chairs. The hand made sustainable hardwood frame is not unique to the Wessex, all our leather furniture products are made to this standard. Following the making of the hardwood frame this is fully sprung to give it that unique feel before we upholster it. The cushions are loose filled and the highly stuffed we finish it off with brass castors, making this chesterfield sofa a classic, giving you just a bit more!

The full range of colours of leather are available for the Wessex and naturally you can choose from antique, premium, or hand dyed leather, but it looks a million dollars in Premium black leather.
